P2P Youths is connected through the leadership and vision of Dr. Melinda Richards, Executive Director of Restoring the Spirit and Passport to Prosperity.
Her work is rooted in helping children, families, and communities receive meaningful care, guidance, and support.
Through this vision, P2P Youths was created to be more than a summer program. It is a place where care, structure, therapy, family support, and positive growth come together.
Therapy services are provided through Restoring the Spirit.
Restoring the Spirit is the company families receive therapy services through. Children who qualify for services may receive clinical support while also participating in a structured summer program filled with activities, connection, meals, and guided support.
Clinical services may include:
✦ Individual therapy
✦ Group therapy
✦ Therapeutic check ins
✦ Coping skills support
✦ Emotional regulation support
✦ Behavior observation
✦ Social skills support
✦ Anger management support
✦ ADHD support
✦ Crisis support when needed
✦ Parent guidance and communication
P2P Youths is a hallmark for a judgment free zone.
Children are not shamed for needing help.
Families are not judged for needing support.
Growth is not treated like something that has to happen overnight.
We understand that every child has a story, and every family has a journey.
Some children need help regulating emotions.
Some need help with social skills.
Some need more structure.
Some need encouragement.
Some need patience.
Some need someone to believe they are capable before they believe it themselves.
Our team meets children with compassion, structure, and respect.
At P2P Youths, we believe every child deserves to feel safe, supported, understood, and welcomed exactly as they are.
Our program was created for children ages 5 to 12 who may benefit from extra support with emotions, behavior, social skills, communication, confidence, structure, or daily regulation.
We understand that children do not always have the words to explain what they are feeling. Sometimes emotions show up as anger, withdrawal, frustration, trouble following directions, difficulty making friends, or big reactions to small moments.
At P2P Youths, we do not see children as “bad” or “too much.”
We see children as growing, learning, and needing the right support.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
This work is not just about asking children how they feel.
It is about paying attention to the whole child.
How do they respond when they are frustrated?
How do they ask for help?
How do they handle conflict?
How do they connect with peers?
What helps them calm down?
What makes them feel overwhelmed?
What strengths are already inside of them?
Clinical staff observe, assess, and monitor children closely so they can better understand each child’s needs and help them grow mentally, emotionally, socially, and behaviorally.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
At P2P Youths, we believe real support begins with relationship.
Children are more likely to grow when they feel connected to the adults helping them. That is why our staff works to build trust, consistency, and positive relationships with each child.
We want children to know:
✦ You are safe here
✦ You are not alone
✦ Your feelings matter
✦ Your voice matters
✦ You can learn new ways to cope
✦ You are capable of growing
The goal is not to force children to be perfect.
The goal is to help them feel supported enough to try, learn, recover, and keep growing.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
We believe care should not stop just because the program ends.
For many children, continued services are important after the summer program is over. Ongoing support can help children continue building emotional skills, strengthening healthy habits, improving behavior, and feeling connected to trusted professionals.
Families are encouraged to stay connected, ask questions, and continue seeking support when needed.
Growth is not a one day thing.
It is a journey.
And families do not have to walk that journey alone.
